Words Can Inspire, Teach, and Change the World!
You might have noticed the tag-line for this site is the same as above.
I wanted to take a moment and share what the line means to me!
I wrote it years ago when I was filling out a job application to be a freelance writer. The question was something like: What is a tag line you would use to describe what writing means to you?
Well, this emerged and I’ve lived by it ever since!
I’ve felt blessed to have been able to share ideas using words … to help teach others how to use their words to share their ideas … and by doing this — sharing their words and ideas — the world changes!
It really is that simple and that powerful!
Everyone has something inside of them they want to share.
In my experience helping others share their words, I’ve witnessed people share …
Their family histories … an experience that happened to them … am idea they made work well and wanted to share (like how to make money, be successful in a relationship, and a lot more!) …
Honestly, the list is endless.
There are as many reasons to write a book as there are people writing them!
And for everyone who shares their story … they inspire … they teach … and they change the world!
Not sure that’s true?
I have been so blessed to have witnessed time and again the power of someone writing a book and the amazing outcome from it!
As a couple of really quick examples …
I had one client who wrote about something that happened to her in college. Since, she’d been asked several times a year to speak to groups about her experience. She brings books with her to the lectures and doesn’t sell them anywhere else because she prefers to share her experience …. and her book … in person. Her main source of getting speaking opportunities is from word of mouth.
One client wrote about her family’s history. She’d been working on writing a book for ten years before she came to me to assist her. We finished the book in a few months (her goal had been to be done by Mother’s Day!). She’d had me on the phone when the printed copies of the books arrived. Her tears of joy reverberated through the phone! More than that, though, had been that on Mother’s Day, she’d gathered her family together and handed out the books to each of them — her siblings and their kids! It had been an amazing moment in her family’s history!
And these … as well as so many more examples … will be shared on this site!
You will not only will see that writing a book is possible … but you will also learn how to do it step by step over the course of the website … and be motivated to WANT to write your story!
There will no doubt be questions over the course of the process. I encourage readers to send in questions so the site can have a Q & A section for people to get some additional help from!
Also, I am happy to offer assistance to help keep you motivated to start … continue … and/or finish your project!
So on this site, you have a plethora of useful tools and aides to move you from the “I want to” stage to the “I did it” stage of writing and sharing your story!
